Various Artists - Ultimate Classical Piano

You get 5 CDs loaded with all of your favorites. Each CD has 75-80 minutes of music on it. This collection isn't one of those compilations with no name performers and hissy sound quality. You get Ashkenazy playing Chopin; Katchen playing Brahms; Larroccha playing Ibeniz; Roge playing Debussy; and Schiff playing Mendelssohn, among many other lesser known but equally excellent soloists.

London Records also includes lots of beautiful easy-listening pieces that used to be famous but that soloists don't play any more. Rubinstein's Melody in F, Paderewski's Minuet, MacDowell's To A Water Lily and To A Wild Rose, Dvorak's Humoresque, and Arensky's Waltz For 2 Pianos are some examples.
