De opvolger van Blues van vorig jaar is weer een topper. 20 voorheen onuitgebrachte nummers uit shows in 1977. Dat was het jaar dat het album Calling Card uitkwam. De originele opnames uit de Rolling Stones- en Jethro Tull Mobile Studios, waarna alles in Abbey Road gemastered was, zijn opnieuw gemixed .

Ik ben sowieso altijd al een fan geweest van zijn livealbums. Hij was de eerste artiest die ik op heb zien treden. We spreken 14 maart 1973. Zijn toegift bestond toen uit een volledig nieuw concert van meer dan 2 uur. Gewoon voor de lol. En daarna was ik verslaafd.

Wat mij betreft was hij de muzikant der muzikanten. Het plezier straalde er van af en hij was een virtuoos. Hij werd 47 en ik hoop dat er nog veel materiaal blijft opduiken.
