Description
------------------
Besieged with problems since inception, British indie Room 36 had more than the odd hurdle to overcome before it finally graced cinema screens back in 2005 after a staggering 11 years in production.

Before the production even got on its feet, the film laboratory burnt down. Shortly after, the specialist black and white film stock the filmmakers had selected was discontinued, resulting in a painstaking search for extra rolls around the world. Considering the countless other complications, including the passing of a cast member and some serious damage to the master negative, the fact the film was ever completed is something of a miracle. But, courtesy of some serious elbow grease from its makers and the restorative wonders of digital technology; Room 36 has finally made it to digital disc.

Set in and around a grubby Midlothian hotel, the dodgy dealings and seedy shenanigans of the place soon begin to unfold. Despite the illicit affairs and oddballs pottering about the place; the real plot hangs on an exchange between seasoned hitman Connor (Hertzberg) and MP Helen Wood (Booroff). Thankfully for the audience, the exchange is far from simple and a meandering series of events soon follow.
