Post Description

This release was recorded at the International Hotel in Las Vegas on August 23, 1969, during Elvis' midnight show. It is from Elvis' critically acclaimed, record-setting first series of live performances that came shortly after his 10 year movie contract ended. During most of Elvis' Las Vegas casino show engagements, he performed two shows a night - a dinner show and a second show at midnight. This concert provides an excellent example of the renewed energy and pure joy that Elvis brought when he returned to the live stage.
