It's great graphics, super addictive gameplay, limitless customization and incredibly lifelike Sims provide a thousand options for how to play the game and a very engrossing experience.

Of course the Iphone cannot provide an experience even close to what the pc can. Still it has plenty of power and there are a great number of excellent games on it that, despite its secondary use as a games machine, show it can be every bit as worthy as other portable game systems can.

The Sims 3 on iphone however plays to none of the device's strengths. It is a hollow sham that is a pathetic excuse for a Sims game. Besides the most basic trappings this game has about as much in common with a Sims game as my foot does with a walrus.

The Sims 3 for Iphone at its most basic level is a Sims game. You create a sim..wait what? U maakt een sim .. afwachten wat?

Here the first problem rears its ugly head. There are a total of FIVE upper body clothes, 8 lower and 8 sets of footwear to choose from, each of which can be recoloured 3 canned colours. This means that it's just about impossible to make a sim which isn't a generic mannequin that looks just like everyone else's sim.

Faces can also only be selected from a limited number of presets.

Ok so you have your generic sim with their cookie cutter clothes and now you're ready to put him in a house... Ok dus je hebt je generieke sim met hun cookie cutter kleren en nu ben je klaar om hem in een huis ... wait you can't build one? Wacht je kunt niet een te bouwen?

That's right: every generic sim is put into a tiny generic hovel with four rooms. Great work EA! Grote werk EA! It's totally awesome you took out one of the best parts of the Sims: building your house!

Ok, so even though you can't make a sim that doesn't look like everyone else or make you own house surely you can have a whole lot of super cool furniture and gadgets like the pc version right? It was always great top pick matching furniture for your house to create something truly unique...wait what?!

That's right in the sim3 for Iphone you have a total of about 5 poorly textured things for each category and some have even less. Want a stove? Wil je een kachel? There are two! Er zijn twee! Want a lounge chair? Wil je een lounge stoel? There's about 6, none of which are any different to each other and four of which are locked form the start!

In fact every item has everything but 1-2 items locked from the start. You have to unlock you own furniture to buy! What fun. Wat leuk. It is the same for every category of basic items: there are very few of them and the stats for comfort and energy and such aren't listed so you have no clue if an item is better or worse than other items.

The items in the Sims 3 are very limited as well. Forget rugs, games, pictures, toys, trees, desks, game consoles, recliners, ponds, grass textures, excersie equipment, garden sculptures, sprinklers, reward objects or pretty much anything else besides the basic needs satisfying objects like chairs, baths, toilets and stoves. Vergeet tapijten, spelletjes, foto's, speelgoed, bomen, bureaus, game consoles, ligstoelen, vijvers, behoeften gras texturen, excersie apparatuur, tuinbeelden, sprinklers, beloning voorwerpen of vrijwel iets anders naast de basis die voldoen objecten zoals stoelen, baden, toiletten en kachels. There will be no fun objects or toys here!

The lack of objects makes the game very boring as you can't even have a game of chess, learn the guitar, woohoo in the hot tub or watch you sim complete with others as there are just so few items in the game. I really don't know what the point of this game is when there's nothing to do but satisfy you sim's needs and socialize...oh god no! Oh God nee!

Socializing is yet another thing that is irredeemably butchered in this version of the Sims. There are a total of about 10 actions you can do. None of these are the least bit entertaining. You can talk, tell a joke, flirt and kiss and there are also some rude actions like Slap.

The interests system for conversation has been entirely removed, as have memories, likes and dislikes, turn ons and turn offs, chemistry and pretty much everything else that governs how effective you social interactions are; you just talk and joke you way along to basic kisses and hugs. Forget the hyper detailed romantic interactions with everything from a peck to making out. Forget 5 types of hugs; in this a hug is a hug and a kiss is a kiss, just as conversation is conversation.

There are also very limited animations for each action and only one speech quote making them extremely boring after about the second time you do them. Socializing is just no fun at all in this version of the Sims as it's very repetitive, there is no strategy behind it and it's just no fun to watch.

Socializing is also extremely fast. Socialiseren is ook zeer snel. You can make a friend with two interactions, tho best friend takes muc
